M Streets/Lower Greenville area is great.

Uptown is as far south as you want to go, Knox/Henderson, m streets/Lower Greenville are all what you’re looking for if you like to go out and experience “city”. Also close access to the lake and bike/walking trails in Lakewood/Northeast Dallas.
35E to the west, 635 to the north, white rock lake to the east and 30 to the south sets a nice perimeter for someone yalls age. Won’t do terrible in there and everything in that area is 15-20 mins away.
$1500-$1800-1BR, $2500-$3000-2BR most likely. Buying a 3/2 in the perimeter is 600-700k min as well.
The village would also be a great shout since y’all are married. Location is perfect.
Any of this other suburb stuff being mentioned is anywhere in America. Okay if that is your thing but they’re all one and the same. Might as well pick the cheapest one if that’s what you’re going to for.
Just about everywhere in North Dallas is convenient, safe, new/developed and has minimal traffic minus downtown and a few areas of 635.
Fart Worth is okay but you’ll never spend any time in Dallas.

Google The Gayborhood - you will fit right in
Oak Lawn is an upscale district known for Cedar Springs Road, the heart of the city’s gay scene. It’s lined with lively bars and DJ-driven clubs, as well as venues for karaoke, drag shows, and country and western dancing. Popular hiking and bike trails run alongside nearby Turtle Creek and cut through green spaces like Oak Lawn Park, home to the stately Arlington Hall events venue. ? Google

Oak Cliff? are you shitting me? that’s been a crime infested ghetto forever, why would you move there?
We didn’t know much about the area and we were rushing to find a place during the early stages of Covid. Agreed that it was a stupid decision.

By far. I'll take Sundance Square, Montgomery Plaza, and The Stockyards over anything that Dallas has to offer.

When was the last time you went to Sundance Square? That was my favorite place in metroplex for a long time. That area has went down hill big time. Not a good comparison at all.

I don’t think HP was a serious response for a young couple.
West Plano/Frisco or East Dallas (Lake Highlands or Lakewood), maybe uptown if urban-lifestyle inclined.
The further you go into Collin and Denton counties the more sterile it gets, but if homogenized hoods and entertainment options is your thing it’s cheaper and “safer.” McKinney / Prosper are growing like mad.

Any advice on location and apartments that would be a good place for a young married couple to live? Thanks OT
Depends on where you work and if you’re planning on having kids. If you’re wanting to have kids soon or are expecting, McKinney

West Plano and Frisco are great if you have kids. We love it here but will likely move after our son graduates high school and college.
We lived in Addison when we were married without kids.

My coworker’s son and DIL just married and moved downtown around the corner from the American Airlines Center and they are very happy as they can walk to so many things.

I'm over in the Addison area and I like it - right off the tollway. 20 mins to uptown, plano, frisco - lots of golf courses and good restaurants by me.
The Galleria 10 mins away if ya woife likes to shop

What is the best places to play if you don't belong to a club?
I realize most of the OT only plays at Dallas Country club on Mockingbird.
