The first movie I went to was Return of the Jedi, but I honestly only remember it from being told that I went because my parents were bringing my brother and sister and I was too young. The same thing goes for ET.

But I remember going see Short Circuit, Flight of the Navigator but I remember in my preteens going being taken by my mom to go see Ace Venture and Blue Chips, but when all my friends got their drivers license we used to go to the movies all the time. From... I guess the mid 90s to the early 2000s I saw a lot of movies. Outside of sports I never really watched a lot of TV, but used to love to go watch a good movie. A good comedy with the whole audience laughing is always fun.

We went see the movie Friday at the movie theater that used to be by LSU. It was 4 or 5 of us and we were the only white people in there. My sides were hurting after that movie was over... from laughing..

Earliest memory I have is Jaws and The Town That Dreaded Sundown. Both scared the hell out of me.

My parents took me to see TTTDS too. I was 11. To make things even worse, my great-grandfather was a sheriff in Texarkana when it all took place, so I had already heard the stories.

I also saw the Exorcist in the theaters. It might have been a re-release, but I think I was 8 or 9.

The first naked woman I saw in the theaters was when my grandparents took me to see Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry when I was 9.

Good times

I see a lot of Gordon theatre, but no Paramount?

The way I remember it, my mom and her best friend would load up all us kids in the car and we’d hit the matinee early at the Gordon because it was the least expensive route, and because that’s where all the G rated movies were being played. That was back when you had to get there early or you’d miss the cartoons they’d show beforehand.

Godfather at the Canal St theater in 1972 while my mom was 7 months pregnant with me. My dad, at the time, was booking bets at the Sport Palace for local Metry mobsters. First movie I ever watched in person was Star Wars in 1977 at Lakeside Mall at 5 Yeats old then Smokey and Bandit the next day

All of 10 years old. I saw titties.

When I was about 7 we had this very attractive babysitter and one time she asked me what movie I wanted to watch. When I said European Vacation she said I know why you want to watch that. I know my face turned red and I probably got a little chub. She didn't let me watch it and didn't ask me that question ever again.

Not that I'm proud of this but it could explain somethings.

First Movie my parents too me to see was Stir Crazy. Second one was Porkys.

Wife and I watched Rocky Horror with our kids and realized halfway through that we made a mistake.

My sister and brother-in-law took me to see The Exorcist on my 17th birthday b/c it was X-rated. We hardly ate anything that day b/c people were reportedly getting violently ill during some intense scenes. After about 20 minutes, we realized these reports were greatly exaggerated and very nearly bought out the snack bar.

My brother took me to see the original Red Dawn when I was 8. I would freak out for a couple of years after that when I would hear a helicopter

Dad took me and my younger brother to see Raiders of the Lost Ark when it came out. Remember telling my mother that we needed to go get tickets early in the day because it was so popular - this was in Bozeman & Dad let me ride with him on his motorcycle to get the tickets

Also remember seeing Rocky & Superman at the drive-in in Bozeman as younger kids

Police Academy when I was 7. Still funny then but I didn't realize what all was really going on until I got older.

1981. Persuaded my Dad to take me and a friend to Porky’s. I was 14. I remember praying that he wouldn’t decide to walk out and make us leave with him. Tremendously uncomfortable experience.
