Are you going to raise rabbits?
I would get a pygmy pony and some zircon encrusted tweezers and raise dental floss.

Just an assumption on my part here, but this lack of attention to detail on your part could be why you continued to fail at catching that big whale.
Not trying to come up with an excuse but I was doing my research while waiting for people to buy scratch offs at Circle K. I offered my apologies for the mistake.
PS…..I have caught at least 2 legit “big whales” but that was in college (before I got married).

Being from south Texas I don't think I could handle that cold either. I have thought somewhere in New Mexico or NW Arkansas could be a good move for me if Texas ever goes to shite.

Yea I think middle class nearly perfectly defines my parents: firefighter and nurse living in the suburbs with 2 kids. I showed them home prices in their current neighborhood (in Tomball/Magnolia area) and they were floored how anyone starting a family could stomach prices like that these days
And it ends up being reflected in the uptick in rentals popping up everywhere
Had this talk with a friend the other day when referring to our kid in their mid-late 20's. In order to find a 'starter' home in DFW, you need to go two counties out from the Metroplex to find something reasonable. The influx of businesses and Californians have made it insane here

and it's real fricking cold up there
I hear this complaint a lot about Louisianans, but I think their view is skewed based on experience with cold weather relative to their preparation for it.
Home in South Louisiana aren’t insulated properly for below freezing temps, and almost no one has a wardrobe suitable for the same.
Yes it’s colder up north, but you’re also not trying to brave single digit temps in a north face fleece and topsiders like most of the people I see down here.

you legit have more of a chance of being shot in new orleans than you do of getting attacked by a grizzly in montana
That’s a funny point, because it’s like 5,000 times more likely.
I hike in the Uinta Mountains in Utah about 20 times per year, and I’ve yet to see a bear in the 8 years I’ve been doing that. They have a lot more in Montana, though.

Lived in SLC for 20 years before moving down to AZ. I'm still close to Flag and Sedona and I've been back up to Utah several times. Just didn't want to live in the winter temps any longer.

Nope we just hate the cold, tee shirts and shorts are preferred for the proper solar absorption.

You should have stayed in NOLA
Based on my research (conducted on paramount) and the body count for some ranchers may match some of NOLA’s.
I’m not sure that he’s going to be any safer there

Going to the Sun Road , near there, is supposed to be spectacular
As is the Beartooth Pass
But the one im really dying to do is the Alaska Highway (AlCan).. will probably all hit them all on the same trip, once i find a couple months to spare.

Yeah, no. Too fricking cold.
Could have signed on with a contractor in my office and been sent to a site in another state but a lot of the states were freezing like Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, etc.
The last one was in the middle of the oil boom there so the guys couldn’t even get apartments, they were living out of corporate rented hotel rooms. And I am assuming it was Days Inn or Motel 6 level shite.
