White teenage girls are the main audience for all this music. Just look at tiktok.

Is it the music of young people though? I’m telling you, YouTube is a much bigger player as far as music goes for teenagers. Not Spotify.

you don't know drake or taylor swift?

My daughter has mentioned Taylor Swift, so I’ll concede I’ve heard the name... but not Drake.

My music pallet is a bit more refined:

I’ll agree, since I literally put that in my initial post.

“Outstanding” is hardly the correct adjective for this crap.

Traditional country music has fallen off the scene.

I don't buy the argument that rock or hip hop are responsible for the moral decline of the country, but to say this:
quote:

Hip Hop actually promotes a culture of unhealthy sexual appetites

And ignore the overt sexuality of a lot of rock music is just retarded. I can follow with the other two, but rock and rap both promote unhealthy sexual appetites.

I know every generation says the younger kids music is horrible... but the music the kids are listening to nowadays is fricking horrible.

How much money is actually made off of these streams? (How profitable is being a “steaming artist” today?)

Without touring I bet it’s not as much as we think

Other than Taylor Swift, there isn't a single person on that list who actually knows the first thing about musical instruments and good lyrics.

Not true. Me and LilJuiceBoxCookieMonster were talking about combining Mixolydian theory with Major and Minor Pentatonic scales just the other day.

apple music - 136 streams/dollar
spotify - 229
youtube - 1,449
LINK

these don't look like total streaming numbers across platforms, so safe to say these artists are getting a couple million a year from spotify, youtube, apple and the rest

8 out of 10 of them use the "N" word in all their music.

The word is so bad that we are not supposed to use it, We are to teach our kids not to use it.

Yet it's in all the music that the kids are buying.

But hey, lets change the name of Dixie Beer and take the Indian Maiden off the package of butter.. That'll solve a lot of problems.

I feel like there's a correlation between the fall of rock and roll, the rise of hip hop, and the moral decline of America.
Hip hop is low IQ fodder, the popularity clearly shows the decline of taste and intelligence.

The genre that made n***a, bitch and ho household words.
