Please share the most interesting, fun, delicious, unique etc menu items you have seen at a wedding reception. A friend of mine and I were talking about this the other day and I am curious to see what we can come up with.

You’ll probably get better/more serious responses on the food and drink board

Went to a wedding where the food theme was McDonalds breakfast. Was pretty awesome. Hashbrowns and burritos and all.

The meal consisted of a giant pot of jambalaya and a keg with red solo cups stacked to the side. Guy was marrying a girl 7 months pregnant. Not his kid and he knew it wasn’t his kid. I was the only person in a suit at the wedding including the groom.

My buddy's reception had a fine enough dinner at about 6pm, then had a bunch of pizza from everyone's favorite local place delivered at like 11 (and kind of kept it a secret until it arrived) as things started to wind down
Everyone still talks about the pizza, years later

Well, not on the "menu" but was in a good friend's wedding and hooked up with this tall drink of water that ended up dating for a while

Throw in a pot of white beans and that's like 50% of all River Parishes/Down the Bayou wedding receptions.

I went to a trashy midwestern wedding in a navy blue blazer, button down with no tie, and khakis and got complimented all night long
I might have been the only person there wearing a blazer/jacket that wasn't a part of the wedding party

Went to a wedding that had a "midnight snack" station on the way out at the end of the party where you could grab drunk food, pizza, sliders, chicken tenders, fries on the way out. 10/10 recommend
