Wasn't there a former LSU football working in his front yard and got hit and killed by an out of control 18 wheeler from the nearby highway?

As mentioned Eric Abdolsec. He was weeding in his front yard and an 18 Wheeler hit him. He lived on Hwy 308 in Thib. A friend of mine was a camera man for HTV at the time, he was sent to video the accident site.

I work fire/ems, had a schizophrenic lady open door and point a shotgun at me and partner. Then turned on herself and shot herself in stomach. We transported her and she died not long after. Seen a ton of bad car wrecks and a few people hit by trains. Also seen a lot of suicides. The weirdest was someone that died several weeks back assumed at least, out in the woods. We got there and skin was intact but head and butt. Person that called ems stated coons were eating on body. Found out later person died from heart attack.

I've been acquaintances with 14 people that have committed suicide, albeit to different degrees. My aunt was t-boned by a drunk driver who ran a red light in a dump truck, she was in a chevette(this was in the 80's). My grandparents, her parents, were 60 miles away visiting us when it happened. Neither of my grandparents ever recovered from knowing she died alone. My step sister was in a trailer fire and was trapped in a rear bathroom equipped with only a small window. She filled up the bathtub with water and got in to get away from the flames - to no avail. I had an employee that loved his Hayabusa(crotch rocket). He was safe, wore a helmet, but was hit head on by a drunk driver which caused him to go head first through the windshield decapitating him.

A guy I graduated high school with died this past Friday. Not only was it Friday the 13th, but it was also his 24th birthday. He killed himself by tying cinder blocks to his feet and jumping in a lake.

The most disturbing...I think he just died recently after many years in care. He was severely burned over 95% of his body, lost his eyes, ears, nose hands and was severely disfigured. He was married and had 2 young kids when the accident happened. Weeks later when the wife saw him without bandages, she told him she couldn't be with him like this, didn't want their kids to seem him like this and she was divorcing him. He was screaming so bad when his wife walked out that he wanted to die that it seriously fricked up some of the caretakers, several sought out counseling after and I think at at least 1 quit because it was too much.

"In sickness or in health" is more of a suggestion than a rule I guess. I love how she made it all about her.

ER Nurse checking in.

Took care of (she died) a girl who was the "ped" in an "auto/ped accident". An F-150 hit her on the side of the road. He was not drunk and never hit the breaks. She either stumbled or threw herself into the truck. It left both shoes where she was and threw her 30-40 feet.

Her scalp was bleeding. No big shock. But on assessment we saw why. She had 5-6" lacerations over both temples in her hair. Basically the impact was so severe that in nearly scalped her.

I would've had a hard time not expediting her path to the afterlife. That would've enraged me to the point where I quite possibly would have killed her on the spot

A guy who'd worked with my husband moved to the Dallas area and got involved in dealing drugs. Killers bound and gagged him, put him in a bag of some kind and threw him in a lake. Don't know if they weighted it down.

A girl I went to high school with (graduated one year ahead of me, voted most beautiful girl) was murdered in Baton Rouge, with most of the blood drained from her body. A real case of overkill.

Son's friend was abducted and murdered by Brandon what's his name. And y'all all know her name. I absolutely get sick to my stomach when I think of her family knowing that her last hours were lived in terror.

One of my best friends from HS had several children by age 36 but his youngest was a 4 year old boy.

On Christmas Eve in 2006, they were having family and friends over for a Christmas party. The grandma and the 4 year olds Aunt decided to take all the kids caroling to homes in the neighborhood. The other adults stayed back at the house. The grandma and aunt took 2 SUVs because there were about 10 kids ranging in age from 4-15.

The very first house they went to the grandma parked in the driveway and the Aunt did also but behind she was behind and to the side of the grandma SUV. The 4 year old had ridden with the Aunt and other kids. After they did the carol , everyone went back to the cars to go to another house. At the last second, the 4 year old decided he wanted to ride with grandma. Aunt said okay go get in her car. As he passed in the front of the aunts car, he was positioned on the grandmas right rear. She backed up and knocked him down and ran over his chest. Everyone in the rear car saw it happen and we're all screaming and crying. So loud and urgent that Grandma heard everyone freaking out and panicked and put the car in forward and ran over him again. They called up to the house only 1/4 mile away where the parents were and they hauled arse down to the scene. He died in his dad's arms before the paramedics arrived.
