You never realize how much empty land there is in the state until you drive up 49. It’s crazy.

Well, between the two stretches that you say suck, I think you have included about 3/4 of the state's interstate miles!

Let’s flip the script. What’s the least boring? The Atchafalaya basin between BR & Lafayette? Or 55 between Hammond and Laplace?

I don’t see how people live up there.

You call that living?

It's definitely 49 north of Alexandria.

Think about that. Alexandria is a fricking UPGRADE.

Baton Rouge loop. It's a fantasy land of forethought and progress.

Yall are some traffic and city loving losers. That is the best stretch in this state outside of some rural scenic routes.

I-10 all the way through Florida is pretty boring. I'm not sure if there is even a hill on the whole stretch that rises more than 5 feet.

Once you get past Milton there are some pretty steep hills that go on past Crestview. But you're right, after that it is pretty boring all the way to Jacksonville.

Between Natchitoches and Shreveport the traffic is usually light to moderate and it's actually enjoyable to drive. South of Ellick, not so much.

Can’t we all agree, other than a few spots it’s all pretty blah. Our interstate system doesn’t see the beautiful areas of our state

What’s an area that our system doesn’t go through that it should? I can’t think of one

Honestly I49 is one of my favorite stretches of interstate to drive. It’s nice and peaceful has light traffic and overall pleasant drive. The hills and trees make for a nice change of pace from the swamps, sugarcane scenery elsewhere in the state.
I’ll take looking at nature rather than areas that are a mix of urban sprawl meets third world country with truck stop casino’s sprinkled in.
