And it's not bragging as much as I just get in a groove and play fairly quickly when I play by myself. Finishing a round in two hours or less is normal for me if the course is empty.
That's when I play my best golf.

Playing behind the Brotha-Love folks. Every hole is like they're playing #18 at Augusta National with the green jacket on the line. Pacing off shots, everyone standing off the green while each of the 5-some putts. Drives me up the fricking wall.

The guy who thinks it is ok to jump in between groups because he had to go back to the clubhouse and use the bathroom.

It's great to be out on the course, take your time, and enjoy your day. The problem is that you may be holding up the group behind you that enjoy playing fast. It's all about etiquette. Everyone should be aware of what's going on in front and behind them.

Did you see that gator?
No, but there were deer though.
It was a pretty easy course (unlike Kiva Dunes, which kicked my arse the afternoon before

Having to appear before a judge, because I used the bushes next to a playground 300 yards away.

the tiger woods wannabe who doesn't just kneel down behind his ball on the green for a few seconds to get the lie....but then walks around to the opposite side of the hole to get a read from that angle. Damn dude this isn't the tour, putt the frickin ball.
That, and people that get anywhere within 20 feet of the woods/cart path and decide they want to go searching for lost balls for a few minutes.

Slow play. While I'm out there to relax and have a good time, that comes with getting in a rhythm and playing well. It's hard to play well while waiting on every shot.
It's also a pet peeve seeing someone take more than 2 practice swings and looking at their putt from both sides of the hole.

just let them through if no one is in front of you.
i guess a pet peeve could be just golf etiquette in general. plenty of people that started playing at an older age have shite for golf etiquette
i blame tiger woods

Sad but true. I think they're two reasons for this.
1. I always walk when I play alone. I get into a better groove and have time while walking between shots to think about what I just did and think about what I'll do on my next shot. In other words, I concentrate on my game.
2. When playing with friends or for business I'm usually distracted and not concentrating solely on my game. Also, I'm usually in a cart so I don't have that time between shots and I never can get into the same groove as when I'm walking and alone.

For the price, I was pleasantly surprised with the layout and conditions.
ETA: Aww, did I get a serial down voter like Darth has? I sure hope my fragile psyche can handle it.

we play ready golf until the green. And sometimes if a guy just chipped up and is still away we will go ahead until he is ready.
Played 5 rounds at Kiva Dunes a few months ago...talk about some slow groups.

The single that tries to play on the weekend and gets pissed when my foursome won't let him play through. If we are on a 4 hour or better pace, you aren't playing through. Deal with it. The course is crowded. You should expect a weekend round to last 4 hours.

People who dress like slobs on the course. Tuck in your damn shirt.
Posted on 12/16/14 at 10:57 am to BabyTac
people who drag their feet on the greens are the worst

I played LSU with my cousin and his buddy one day, and they walked (of course). And they'd get to the ball and go through the routine Every. Single. Time. It took them forever. I was so mad, but trying to be cool. Then on like #5 or so, dude hits into the water off the tee, then ends up later in a sand trap, and two putts. I was keeping their score on my card (they were keeping their own as well) and he looks at me when he made his putt and goes "bogey." I said "That's a hell of a bogey from the water" and refused to write his score down, and from that point on I didn't worry about what they "scored" and just played my game. They also paced off every putt and analyzed it for five minutes only to miss pretty much every single one.
One thing my dad taught me is to count every stroke, or else you'll never get better.

Golfers who aren't ready to hit when its their turn. You should be over your ball ready to hit immediately after your playing partner. That means have the club selected, figure out the wind, all that should be done by now..
You make over an 8 please pick it up.
Quitters. People who are otherwise decent at the game quit on the course because they made a double bogey...
