schyster doctors
Plenty of quack ortho and neuros who will recommend any joe off the street single or multi level fusions. I dont understand how they keep the racket going and practice under hipocratic oath. Whats crazy is the unwarranted surgeries never improve the patients physical condition during the course of the lawsuit. Yet the same Plaintiff Attorneys keep feeding their clients to the butchers

] ETA: and in regards to this one "HB 450 requires plaintiffs to prove injuries occurred during the accident in question." I don't see it doing much of anything. There are groups of doctors in Louisiana who will write pretty much whatever you want in a medical report. I used to work as a claims adjuster and saw stuff from those guys everyday
What the elimination of Housely hopefully stops (and involves Bart) :
Housely Presumption Example

Couldn’t. You couldn’t care less.
And damn, that’s a whole lot of projecting when you could just say “I’m not aware of any laws in Texas that would explain the discrepancy I see in car insurance rates”

Insurance reform to help every citizen of the state? Nah, Morris Bart needs another Ferrari.

Like Dr Mc Donnell in Lafayette who”agreed” to stop practicing in Texas for overbilling on every suit who would cut on a corpse if he would get paid?

From what I understand, some of these “clinics” are owned partly by the attorneys, so they get two bites of the apple. I also know some of these clinics actively wine and down the plaintiffs attorneys.

I'm not a Landry fan but if he pissed off Morris Bart, it must be a good thing.

Those bills that passed were the bare minimum that Landry thought would keep the public from completely exploding. He vetoed the only bill that would have actually made a difference. Several other good bills which might have made a difference were killed in Senate committee.
Never lose sight of the fact that Jeff Landry is bought and paid for by ambulance chasing billboard lawyers.
They own his little A$$! And he is paying them back with your money!

Landry’s political propaganda flyer costs La. taxpayers $387k - WAFB

The reforms don't matter because most of the cases never go to trial. What is needed is keeping the frivolous claims out of the court system. You need a review panel process like med mal, or put all auto claims into an entirely different tribunal like workers comp where there are no juries or publicly elected judges subject to influence via campaign contributions.

Landry doesn't want real tort reform.
This. Yet the majority of this board voted for him and refused to consider any other R’s in the race. We’ll see if everyone comes to their senses in 2027.

I fully support a cage match to the death between the two of them. Either way the state wins
