I saw this story earlier, I didn't realize Mormons were a big part of boy scouts. Either way, I don't care..

It's strange when you consider that the average age of getting Eagle is over 17.

There's a minimum delay between ranks plus the work you need to do through mandatory merit badges and extra ones.

Mormons were on their way out for awhile. But this is more about the insular way their communities work than anything else. Elders keep their thumbs down on more.

You even edited and left it in there.

Anyways, to your point, I bet not. Publicly traded companies usually like to be on the other side of controversy. Keeping distance from the NRA is avoiding controversy at the moment, whether you like to admit it or not.

And again, people on both sides give the power of that side's consumerism too much credit. The other side usually picks up the slack in the short term and long term people don't avoid products forever.

Don't hear many people order Freedom Fries anymore

ETA:

Now, their actions of publicly stating their intention to disassociate with the NRA was probably misguided. They could have handled that much better, as in no public release and just slowly drift away from them.

What they did created a bit too much polarization in their demo. I bet they actually tried to disassociate with the NRA because they believed it would HELP them with big investors when they go public.

Very very old news. The Mormons ran a different program than mainstream troops anyway; they were tolerated by the professional staff for the $$ they kicked in.

People on both sides of these things fail to realize that there are just as many people on the other side of the fence. So if you and all of your NRA friends want to stop going to Dick's Sporting Goods because they stopped selling AR-15's, there are just as many people on the other side that will go out of their way to visit them because of that same reason.

Wrong. Liberals don’t have jobs. And if they do it’s at Starbucks or being a gender studies ta

Quit rubbing it in. I saw it but left yeti out the first time I forgot to edit that while I was at it.

Point taken, but most yeti supporters are nra supporters. It could hurt their ipo.... Maybe.

Scouting was REQUIRED for all Mormon boys. Reaching the rank of Eagle was EXPECTED. This is why the LDS church sponsored units. It would be as if the Catholic Church said, 1) CYO is mandatory and 2) instead of CYO, boys will join boy scouts.

very few of the Mormons I know participated in scouts and none of them became eagle scouts, might be a Utah only thing?

My beef with scouting is the dens are so hit or miss and the time commitment is un real....scouting needs to catch up to modern youth reality or its gonna wither.

FTR...I dont care if girls want to join, if there was something else out there that provided what they wanted they would not need to be in boy scouts.

Do we actually know this, like for a fact?

I think they're a lot more fricked by the fact their products are completely copied by cheaper competitors. RTIC 4 LYFE.

Appears Target's stock is up 15% in the last year actually.

Its not hard to be up 15% from where they have fallen to. They still have not bounced back to the point they were on the date of the announcement. Even the CEO has since come out and admitted it was a mistake

Target stock:
84.69 - date of tranny announcement
69.65 - today

No matter what TV/movies tell you, no one really likes hanging out with pervs. Theyre creepy. And unpredictable. So sorry, its just the way it is

Therefore, we will continue separating ourselves into teams. For as long as we all shall live

I only own one yeti product, but the knockoffs I've seen don't compare to it. I'm just saying if I were an investor I'd be nervous.

You have to hand it to them. A rational decision, even with all those wives.

Can you imagine the constant chatter from all those broads?

I own one Yeti product but I’m still not sure why it is so amazing. I’ve never actually paid attention to how much longer the ice stays frozen. It hasn’t been to the point where I’m thinking, “Damn, this is amazing!”

This is disingenuous.

The stock climbed back up to $79 6 months after this announcement. Target has other issues that caused stock volatility.

It wasn't Bubba and Mary Sue boycotting their $1 bin deals because they might have a tranny in the bathroom with them.

Right. If the Boy Scouts won't include the gold tablets in upstate New York story of Joseph Smith in their Handbook, conservatives should just leave. Only proggies would not want to incorporate the only one true God story of the Latter Day Saints.

(Yes, your comment is that dum.)

It didn't even take past the first reply for a dumbass who didn't read the post to show up.

Most the corporations play multiple sides.

They will contribute equal amounts to both candidates.

They will forbid senior management from making donations.

And you are barred from associating with political figures.

Not a horrible approach to things
