I don't think people are saying that the protest were the ONLY way in which the virus could have spread. But the media/politicians are almost completely ignoring that they happened relative to the ongoing freakout about rising covid cases. For going on 5 months mass gatherings (ball games, festivals, concerts, even funerals, etc) have been strictly prohibited because of the risk those events create. Yet, taking that into account we are supposed to believe that the largest mass gatherings that have occurred in the country over the last 5 months somehow had ZERO effect on the covid rates?

I was going to propose a Covid thread disclaimer similar to NSFW threads in which we could just get all the typical responses out of the way via compilation right off the bat. Downvotes just hurt my feelings too much.

To be fair, those numbers would be skewed as well anyway. Transferring positives out of facility to avoid them passing on your census is a real thing.
