Some do, not all, we don’t. Send to hospital or other facility is our first step.
Btw, a local skilled home with a Covid wing announced yesterday the went from 38 cases to 70. They broke contain and allegedly have a pretty laxed mask protocol. Sad stuff.

a lot of these crawfish and other seafood packing plants have workers that all work very close to each other as well all live in really tight quarters.....they're probably just passing it all around to each other......
have you ever been in a shrimp or crawfish packing plant?
they will have over 100 workers standing side by side for hours a day peeling crawfish, shrimp, shucking oysters, picking crabs....etc....its crazy

I was wondering earlier how much spread can be traced to clinics, hospitals, and other places where testing is done.
Our local news has been pushing people, all people, to go get tested. It certainly can't be good, spread wise, for a healthy person to be around a place with people who are sick or have been in contact with sick people regularly just to get a test so you can say you got tested.
Seems like an unnecessary risk of exposure if you aren't sick or showing symptoms.

Agree. In LA, long-term facility staff requires TB test prior to resident contact. If you don’t have the means to complete that inside your community, you send new hires to somewhere like Urgent Care. The number of new hires recently combined with Urgent Care wait times is very concerning to me.

Most if not all hospitals, clinics, dr offices, are all taking temps and having them fill out questionnaires before entering....thats all I know
I know my wife has to have her temp taken every-time she walks into a different wing of the hospital or physicians center....
but Im not sure if they are doing that for just staff/employees or if they are also doing that for visitors as well.
I know I took my daughter to the orthodontics a few weeks ago and they took her temp, make her wear a mask, and fill out a form....I just sat outside and waited

Such is the case for most LTC at advice of CDC and LDH. Applies to staff and visitors as well. Accountability is up to individual facilities, however, and I know many are not taking appropriate measures.
LCMH is temping staff in certain sections of the hospital twice a week. Night shift LTC employees I spoke to from another facility are not because no one is monitoring. Ours typically screen 4x/day.
