True. My son's 1st first year of Rugby we beat Jesuit in the finals, only had like 5 or 6 teams in the whole state. Jesuit, Brother Martin, Rummel, Hurricanes, and another I'm forgetting the other one.

The Woodlands would come in and hand Jesuit their arse most years.

Ahh, the Jesuits, the order that had to pay the largest sexual predation lawsuit in the Catholic Church. Never met a Jesuit that didn’t brag about academics, but somehow forget that their order paid the largest monetary settlement for sexual abuse cases.

So giving free shite (tuition) to academically below average kids because they can play football. Great. I guess fucj the parents who are scraping that tuition together for their academically hard working kids. Too bad he can't play well with a ball.

Jesuit plays in the Texas league and had two players make first team Texas all state in Rugby. Jays made the final 4 in Texas last year and play mainly backups against the Louisiana schools.

Since we’re now talking tuition, in its 176 year history, Jesuit has never turned away a boy because of his parents’ inability to pay.

f you count the private league a true state title…they have like 16 team playoffs and 1st seed gets a double bye straight to quarterfinals.

Funny the other side created that

That's pretty cool, didn't realize they started playing Texas. Beating St. Thomas (Houston) is a solid win.

Sounds like you're probably involved with Jesuit rugby pretty closely. Can you send them all to LSU? Especially if y'all have a solid flyhalf.

They’re nowhere near West Monroe and Barbe

In baseball the select division is Catholic, Rummel, John Curtis and that’s it, compared to a ton of contenders in nonselect

Let's be honest here..

Brothers of the Sacred Heart >>>>>>>>>>> Jesuits.

There's a reason why they've never allowed one to be Pope until it was Armageddon time with Globohomo One World Order anarchy at hand.

Semifinalist status is based purely on PSAT/NMSQT results. 2 hours and 14 minutes of test.

It also was changed in 1997 by doubling the reading score to help more women qualify which explains Jesuit having more semifinalists.

You would be wise (like an owl, maybe?) to check your facts.

Jesuit won State Championships in Baseball in 2021 and 2023. That included Catholic, John Curtis, and Rummel. It makes them sound relevant to me.

By the way, just before the select/nonselect split, Jesuit traded State Championships with Barbe a handful of times, each playing the other in Championship Games. Sounds Comparable to me. That may be a few years ago; but, at least, it’s based on fact rather than some random thought you had and typed into a box.

By the way, Jesuit has won 26 State Championships in Baseball as well as three American Legion National Championships. I’d say the program is on solid footing.

frick Jesuit but I was a National Merit Semifinalist there in ‘05

Also I had detention a lot with Fr. Boudreaux in ‘03 before he was nabbed as a child molester

Prof Pearce was a fraud

Coach Storm will burn in hell

Mr. Dufresne was working in a warehouse in Texas somewhere. Ha. Karma.

Paul Rogers’ son got a perfect score on the SAT and still went to Lipscomb for some bizarre reason

I actually liked him as a chemistry teacher. My lasting memories are him talking about dilution in terms of alcohol and strength of your drink . He also suggested turning off your car engine before kissing your girlfriend for safety reasons, confined space and all. I appreciated his advice on both fronts .

Same, though I had different reasons to fear other teachers, notably Coach Sam, and then Strickland.

This is BS. In New Orleans, if you're a Catholic grade school student, smart or not, you're going wherever your parents went to school. The high schools down here are like cults.

Schools wax and wane. My dad was a old school Holy Cross grad with Brother Melchior. That dude was a legend even before I got to the school on Carrollton and Banks.

No I mean literal detention. Not PH’s. Like, just me and him in a classroom and I could choose between staying an hour or reciting a page of Cicero. Just me… and him. I still don’t believe he did it though.

There will probably be 10 or so go to LSU and I would expect 6 or 7 over the next couple of years to play for the Tigers. Should help the program out some.
