Pretty much the same earning, same withholding amount as the year before. Instead of a tax refund, now I owe a significant amount to the IRS.

2018 elimination of personal exemptions and elimination of some of itemized deduction (charitable donation, employee expenses, state&local tax) was a killer for me. Thanks Obama!

I made 24k more than last year and my overall burden went down more than 4%. Also had bigger paychecks every pay period.

add up how much more you took home each week and see how much more it is than what you have to pay.....

You not paying more, you just didn't let the IRS hold it all year

So everything around you changed. You stayed the same, failed to change with the times, and it is someone else's fault.

My federal taxes went down. Almost everyone I know experienced the same.

What state do you live in?

How much do you donate annually? Are you filing jointly? How much money do you make? Why didn't you make more last year than the year before?

You mean "Thanks Trump!" All the above was due to Trump's tax changes, not President Obama's.

Because you had less witheld during the year dumbass. I always calculate withholding early in the year to avoid over or under payment at the end. I’m looking at 2% less taxes than last year yay!

I haven't finalized my taxes yet but I got married last year and both she and I got refunds until this year and we owe federal now. I will withhold judgment until I finalized my taxes but I am not impressed as of now.

Last year I got back nearly 3k and she was around the same.

Wrong again, GRTiger.

It would seem you'd get tired of being wrong. At least your ignorance has one positive for you.

LOL at you, douchebag.
