Does the fact that the majority of the population of Afghanistan is not part of the Taliban mean that there isn’t a very large problem with the Taliban in that country? You’re trying to frame to score points and it’s not going to work.

I understand the sentiment as a child of the eighties myself. However, a childhood in the 80s lead to teenage and young adult years in the early-mid 90s. These kids now are rookies compared to the demons of that era. Live ball vs dead ball difference.
All to say, it can be turned around with imprisonment like the 90s. Issue is the lawmakers are more and more to the left and not likely to ever go that far again unless it's when they're putting us all into chains. For that reason I agree with you that it will only get worse. Chaos creates conformity.

He’s not asking for clarity.
He’s trying to minimize the significance of the data by zooming out.
There is no credible statistic that says “X% of young Black males are violent.” At the same time: young black males are disproportionately represented in violent crime stats, especially homicide rates.

For giggles, I decided to google it.
The result was interesting, "One study of young Black men (ages 15–25) identified a high-risk group of 12.9% as "high victim-perpetrators" (reporting weekly fighting/carrying weapons)."
That blurb only parcels out WEEKLY violent perpetrators.
Even that though, is roughly that ever present 13%.
Let's analyze that.
A group of say 20 young black males milling about in a setting, 13% are likely to love fighting and or carrying weapons on the regular. That's at least 2 of them.
