More BR Crime News: Man shot to death while trying to keep criminal from stealing his car

Absolutely terrible. This man lost his life because some piece of shite decided stealing a vehicle was worth more than Everette's life.

According to BRPD, 28-year-old Everette Williams was shot at his aprtment complex while attempting to stop a person from stealing his vehicle.
No further information about the shooter has been made available at this time.

BATON ROUGE - Officers with the Baton Rouge Police Department were called to a reported overnight shooting.
The incident happened just after 11:30 p.m. on in the 3300 block of Monterrey Boulevard near Greenwell Springs Road. A male victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Details are limited. WBRZ has reached out to authorities for more information.

There aren't many details but I would try to protect my vehicle if someone was trying to steal it. However, the law should allow you to shoot them instead of trying to force them away or fight to protect your property. If this guy would shoot them the law would want to protect the criminal. This guy would be alive if he was able to fend off the criminals with his gun.

Happened t a Marine vet here in Alabama. He walked out on his front door stoop to go to work at 5:00 am and saw a group breaking into his car. One of them shot and killed him. Left a young wife and two young kids. They arrested the shooter but he was not convicted.

That used to be a decent part of town. Not anymore I guess. I used to frequent that area all of the time when I was younger.
