Are you still on that? It has been proven that it was a SJW campaign, based on emotion and race-baiting. It was untrue because of dookie and whatnot.

that doesn't mean it's still not an issue

no matter how much you dislike it, dismiss it, or pretend like it isn't happening, it's still an issue

Black people think Red Lobster is fancy dining so what do you expect? No, black people dont think this.

My wife was a GM for Red Lobster for a number of years and a good deal that eat their do view it as fancy dining. They at the very least view it as a place to go for special occasions.

the whole red lobster as "Fancy dining" isn't just a black thing. it's a poor thing

there is a whole chapter in this book dedicated to the class divide of red lobster

I don't understand why people are caring about Walk On's. It's terrible food that comes straight from Sysco. If restaurants around the city want to close or serve a limited menu, then that is their right to do so. July 4th is a slow weekend because 80% of the normal clientele are at the beach. As for Essence Fest, it's a double edged sword. There are people that want to come in and spend money, but there are also the horror stories. It's just bullshite that everyone is quick to claim racism.

So everything on their menu comes from Sysco or is it already prepared and reheated because you can get very upscale products from Sysco.

I am not pretending there was sewage and that they closed because of it. It is happening as we speak.

If the sewage exists, you cannot be pissed.

They released photos and let a news crew in. The news crew smelled it.

In more rural areas, stuff like Red Lobster, TGI Fridays, Cracker Barrel, etc is seen as a nice place to eat because you are actually going out for a sit down dinner. It isn't so much about the food as it is the availability of said restaurants and the act of going out to eat with family and friends.

You are giving off the feeling of being on a high horse

also if you live in fricking Iowa or Kansas, Red Lobster is the only affordable option for things like shrimp, lobster, etc

It's not just there. I have family and friends that live all over that are the same way. It's just the act of going out to eat that means the most. They know the food isn't spectacular, but will always say it is good because they enjoy going out to eat.

Not everyone is lucky enough to have as many places available as New Orleans

honestly so much of our taste is built into expectations, it likely is good b/c of the overall act

actually the opposite of what i just posted. people are highly likely to overrate their experience there due to priming of the location in higher-end areas, too. so just being in new orleans will make people believe they enjoy the food more, if they're told to expect good food

Yeah its also a "destination" for families with kids. Same with outback, macaroni grill, and bubba gumps. But even compared to those it can be surprisingly expensive. I ate at the one in Inglewood last year and iirc it was around $80 for the two of us including tip.
