I found my mom dead when I was 15. The same day, before heading to school, I talked to her and told her I would be successful. Doctors said there was nothing they could do and she passed from liver disease at 45. Her last words to me were go to school and take care of yourself.

So, I walked over to her bed, grabbed her hand and told her it was ok. I was there and she could let go and stop fighting it.. As soon as I said that my mother took her last breath. While there is no doubt it could have been coincidence, I am convinced my mother was giving the Grim Reaper hell until she heard my voice and knew she was not alone.

My wife was a hospice nurse for a few years. She has a ton of stories just like this. A lot of people think it's weird that she loved that job so much, but she said the relationships gained and having the job to aid someone to the other side comfortably was extremely rewarding.

Also, she has seen a lot of atheists talk to God in those last days/moments. Existence and consciousness are in no way a universal accident.

Bruh, you’re still in 2D. We’ve done passed up 3D. A few decades ago. Come out the cave. Use your damn God given discernment. You’re about to get left behind.

If it's any positive, I had a great aunt die and on her death bed she said "I see angels, they're beautiful" despite being basically unconscious for the few days before.

My great grandfather was in his bed while my grandpa and a couple others around his bedside. Right before he died, he sat up in his bed and looked “off into the distance” across the room and told them in French “well look at that… how nice, they’re clearing the road for me”. And then he was gone.

My uncle dropped dead of a heart attack in his house, alone, sometime in the afternoon one day. I was in my room sleeping (was a teenager at the time, it was summer break, so, the stay up all night/sleep all day routine wasn't unusual.) I remember waking up startled after a dream in which my uncle told me, "Hey, sorry, but I have to go. Tell your dad I love him." Didn't think anything of it. Later that night, a relative called my dad to tell him.

Indeed there is. I'm 30 years your elder. Don't blink. Life passes quickly. My Mother used to tell me this growing up. Boy was she so right. But I can assure you there is much more. Knock, and the door shall be opened, seek and you shall find. I stand at the door and knock. He that opens, I shall come in and dine with him.

I have seen the opposite. My great g-ma was a devout baptist , never missed church, donations, et... on her last days she asked my father is he truly an atheist and believed there was nothing of an afterlife. My father said he did.

She said I hope you are right.

She must have been thinking about all of her sins

She died a few days later at the age of 100.

your brain has gamma surges (the fastest oscillations in the brain, which are associated with conscious perceptions, lucid dreams, and hallucinations) of neural activity when it is dying.

This does nothing to disprove God, maybe he designed it that way to give us peace in our dying moments.

Study from last month

When the brain stops getting bloodflow or oxygen, there's a ton of activity that is experienced like a hyper intense dream going back across tons of memories. I wonder to what extent this is a "glitch" and to what extent could be the brain attempting to preserve memories in case of brain damage.

My infant daughter was in the NICU; my grandpa died about her 6th day stay into the NICU. (Awful time I know) She made a turn that same day and was way better.

I’m certain my grandpa helped her before he left the Earth, and gave his last ounce of life to her.

When I was a sophomore in HS, I was putting on cleats for football practice and had a vision of an ambulance at my grandparent's home and thought that my GF had passed away. I shook it off, went to practice and then attended a youth group event that evening. When I returned home, my dad informed us that our GF had died of a heart attack that evening.

I was moving to a duplex and unpacking shite in the living room and needed to sit down for a minute. I was kinda dazed and had this weird vision of my mom being dead in the back room of her house, and flies were buzzing around the room. A few days later my moms neighbor called my brother for a welfare check because her newspapers were stacking up. She had fallen over dead in her kitchen roughly a week earlier and the corpse flies were all throughout the kitchen and dining room area.

I often had visions and connected deja Vu situations before that, but that deal was like.. damn.

I fell into a TikTok rabbit hole one time where paramedics and nurses would talk about how they have learned to freak out if a seemingly stable patient randomly blurts it “I might be dying” or “so this is what death feels like”…. Apparently those words come right before a crash

The other rabbit hole is hospice nurses talking about the death rally. My dad experienced his mothers death rally. She was in ICU with heart failure. She had not spoken for days but then sat up and spoke to my dad for 20 mins. She was gone an hour later…. It fricked my dad up but he was thankful for one last clear moment with his mom

Different situation, I know..... but it's happened with many airline pilots, over the years.

But those poor innocent souls on 9-11 in both the planes and the towers making those finals calls to their loved ones are some of the most heartbreaking examples I can think of.

I’ve been lucky so far that I haven’t witnessed it. Only our dog, had cancer and was passed the point of return. The doctor gave him the first shot to deaden the pain and his pupils got as big as cornea. Then the killer shot. He said, “I think I’m dying!”, then passed. The vet tells me FIL, ‘long time no see, good to see ya’ right afterwards lol. Messed me up for a couple weeks

Sounds like the problem with the current "church." Religion over relationship. I've seen people that went to church their entire lives get truly saved in their 60s and 70s and admit to somehow missing the point of what Christ did the entire time.

Our good works are filthy rags, Christ paid it all. One must confess their sin, repent and follow Christ . Everything else in Christianity lacks the importance for the level or argument there is across the different denominations.

Saying all that, I understand what your grandma said. If I had still had to wear my sins I would be scared too! Lol

This is an amazing thread. These stories are incredible.

Yes, the human imagination is very powerful.

I’m sure there’s a UFO thread somewhere with incredible stories too.

I’m sure there’s a cryptid thread somewhere with incredible stories too.

I’m sure there’s a ghost thread somewhere with incredible stories too.

I’m sure there’s a psychic thread somewhere with incredible stories too.

I’m sure there’s a faith healing thread somewhere with incredible stories too.

And the amazing thing is all these stories are true. It’s like the frickin’ Indiana Jones universe. We got the Ark of the Covenant over here, Hindu stones over there, aliens over here, and a time traveling device over there.

No reason to doubt any of it.
