It’s a dry heat though. I don’t think AC was common before the 2000s. And it was mostly a transplant phenomenon.

Intake a road trip every summer that somehow always goes through WY & MT :-) Glacier, Yellowstone & the Tetons. I could definitely make the move ….. six months of the year.

Winter is nice in the mountains. It’s more comfortable in Montana in January, than this in West Virginia. Promise.

Yes. I've looked at a map of the US more than zero times in my life.

You’d be amazed at the number of people looking in that area to retire.

Not true in all parts of the state. The western part of Montana like Missoula is going to get more temperate weather like Washington. Winters are milder there.

Did you know the US government owns insane amounts of land/acreage in the Western states?

And vastly underrated. Also a place depending on where you are, you could drive 100 miles and not see another vehicle.

Drive through east-central Montana between Lewistown and Miles City, south of Fort Peck Lake, and on a quiet day/late at night you'll pass another car about every 100 miles.

Years ago stayed over night in Harlowton and headed east to Miles City.

Cruised at 95 and hardly met another car other than in Roundup before hitting the Interstate at Forsyth.
