My hometown... statistics really don't match reality in this case(if that's possible)... doesn't seem near that bad... although I haven't lived in Monroe since graduating high school in 00... I visit at least once a month... I'm from Booker T an anyone who was around could tell you Monroe was way more dangerous in the late 80's - 90's...

Actually they won this award over a year ago. Mayor Mayo said it was BS. "Monroe is not the most dangerous city in the nation. We are not."
you know of all the reactions I would have to a city I was mayor of showing up on this list flat out denial would be low on the list.

I don’t know man 2017 on has been pretty rough for funroe. Had a guy I ran cross country with there from Kenya get mugged walking across Louisville back to his house one day a year or so back. Broad daylight if I remember right too.

Not the mayor but this would also be low on the list:

Ellis also said there are two primary points that debunked the website's information. He said the website used data from more than just Monroe to come up with Monroe's ranking.

"They used not the city of Monroe crime data, but they used areas in the circumference of the Monroe metropolitan area," Ellis said.

Ah, so you’re saying Monroe and whole area around it is dangerous AF? Got it.

Monroe isn't dangerous for white people. It's extremely segregated. Louisville Avenue is the Berlin fricking wall. Now south of that, yes I don't frick around down there unless I go downtown.

Poncho Villa, stick to Mexican history because the new Berlin Wall in Monroe is Forsythe Ave and in 5 years will be Park Avenue.

They have been sending recon teams into River Oaks. I spotted a platoon sized squad at basketball court at Barbados and Deborah and also at the MAC.

I'm on Pegram Circle. House is for sale. This award does nothing for me getting a contract on it.

I was wondering the same thing but I think they all pile into one car but there are some big dudes out there playing. Might be a little cramped.
