I don't think people have anything wrong with him dressing as a girl and portraying himself as a girl (If that truly is what he wants) but allowing medical intervention at the age of 8 is alarming.
If in 12 years he wants to go forward with the surgery, let him, its his own choice.

Transgender s have a higher suicide rate than others. It's likely some of these folks are just confused as hell.

I'm skimming. Perhaps I missed that part. I was not aware that they are considering medical intervention. I agree that any type of medical intervention should wait until the child is a bit older and more mature.

In TX? Not buying it. It would be front page outrage in any city but Austin. And the source article doesn't mention a court location, judge, what kind of court, etc... only mentions its happening in Plano.
Im not saying the situation isnt happening, just not buying those instructions as a real court order. Has anyone read or seen the order and its actual verbiage?

Guess you've never heard of Michael Sam? Openly gay, played football for Missouri a few years back. there's probably a lot more than him that just haven't come out yet. If that's your gauge for gayness in kids then you're probably going to be one hell of a father figure.

I sat in on a recruiting meeting today and they told us to bring in more lgbt candidates. I just walked out shaking my head.

I've already consulted a surgeon about the operation for my 8 year old. Caught him playing with his sister's Barbies and figured might as well get him transitioned early. This way less people know later on in life that he was once male. I know he'll thank me later.

It’s not PC but a lot of transgender people have a lot of self image issues and think they will be solved by changing gender.
There’s a reason why psychological screening is (or at least WAS) done before reassignment surgeries.
If these people thing getting Mr Wally chopped off will magically make things better, they are sorely mistaken and then are in a position where they are unable to get a mulligan.
It’s not PC but a lot of transgender people have a lot of self image issues and think they will be solved by changing gender.
