I can't imagine what I would do or feel in this family's situation.
Fox News
quote:
A Pensacola, Florida, family is in unspeakable anguish as members say goodbye to a dying 5-year old girl, just weeks after she was found to have an aggressive type of brain cancer.
Trying to convey her pain, heartbroken mother Ally Parker shared a photo that is capturing attention around the world.
The picture also shows the little girl's grandfather, who is suffering from ALS, or Lou Gehrig's Disease, sobbing by her bedside in a hospital room.
"'In a few days I will have to bury this beautiful little girl. Months, maybe even weeks, later, I will have to bury my father.' 'Both of my heroes, gone, within the same year,' she continues. 'How could this happen to us? What did any of us do to deserve THIS?"

Man what's with all the immensely tragic stories today?

Why ruin my day posting this a-hole?

Life is cruel When you think you have it rough things like this put it in perspective.

This is just beyond sad.
5 year olds should never die from cancer.
Heck, even granddad doesn't deserve ALS.
Awful, it's not fair.
Everyone who is healthy, should stop your bitching and start being thankful for your lives.

I have an unreasonable amount of disdain for people that post shite like this on social media. It's an incredibly sad story. That picture is gut-wrenching. What the frick would you want to capture that for all time? I don't get it.

I don't mine a little touch with reality thread on occasion. I am just thankful for the things I have in life when I read these. Probably people's health is one thing that alot of us take for granted.

To tell people to stop bitching about petty things in life (like maybe seeing a sad story on your social media feed) and cherish good health.

One thing I surely would not do is post this kind of crap on Facebook or anywhere for attention

That's horrible , no words to describe the pain they feel.
Is it just me or is that a really really young looking grandfather? ALS is a terrible disease that is becoming more and more common. My wife deals with patients of ALS all the time and there are no words for how terrible this disease is.

I don't think it's usually for attention. I think sometimes the anguish gets to be too much to bear alone.

Yeah, I'm sure the mom was thinking "got both my daughter and dad here dying and I'm going to post a pic because I want attention"
Grow up.

ALS is awful. I had a client, a young man, develop ALS. To watch someone with a fully functional brain who cannot move anything is just gut wrenching and heart breaking.

Man that's just heartbreaking, I couldn't even begin to image
all I know is that when my lil boy gets of the bus today i'm gonna give him the biggest damn hug and make sure he knows the ole man loves him no matter what!
