i was a teenager in the 80s. no it was not. if i spoke the way those kids did or disappeared for the length of time they did, my arse would be beat.
Gotta agree with every bit of this. I wouldnt be able to sit for a week and once I could finally sit, Id need a dentist appt to replace my teeth. Very few kids I came in contact with ever talkes to their parents the way I hear kids talk now.

That scene in last episode of season 2 where she answers the door in her bathrobe was hot as shite. She was reading Heart of Thunder in the bathtub while her LSU professor husband was passed out in the recliner
