The husband is probably a “male feminist”. She probably claims to like this, but like most women she doesn’t really know what she wants - she yearns for masculinity.
She has no respect for her husband (who would probably be a gay man in a natural order). The argument with him occurs and she sees some hockey players. This exposure to high-T males kicks her biological impulses into overdrive. She knows it is wrong, but the programming is what the programming is.
A tale as old as time.
