First of all, MG originated in Europe so any claim here is done.
But to indulge the Mobile try hards...
Mobile CELEBRATED Mardi Gras on New Year’s Eve before NO held it’s first MG.
NO held its party ON MG. Mobile didn’t begin celebrating ON MG for another few years.
So did Mobile technically celebrate first? Only if you agree that you can celebrate Valentines Day in November and brag that you are more romantic than others. But this is clearly the Rammer Bummer mindset, so you can see what they’re like.
Finally, there is no doubt which MG celebration is bigger, better, more attended, more famous... it really isn’t worth the argument with these Moon Pie MoFos, but, again, this is what they’re like.
Enjoy your marshmallows, bammers, while I enjoy a MG that has just a bit more going for it.
