Tolls will help finance a new, $2 billion bridge that will cross the Mobile River and Mobile Bay on Alabama’s coast. News outlets quote officials with the bridge project as saying a toll of at least $3 and as much as $6 will be needed to pay for the bridge. Construction is supposed to start next year, and the tolls won't start until work is done around 2025.

BR will implement a 10 dollar toll to fund 16 studies to determine if a bridge would be viable

I guess the traffic in the tunnel has gotten to be too much.

After a few years, they will determine the bridge is not viable but keep the toll cause they don't want to lose the revenue.

So why can’t we build a wall again?

Hopefully it’s a toll by plate. I can’t stand sitting in a toll line while old woman marg counts out change for $100.

I can't see how they can only do e-tolling considering the number of non-locals that pass through here, and the fact it's on an interstate without any free options alongside it.

I'm generally pro-tolls, but I'm not a fan of their use 1) on federal interstates and 2) to replace existing facilities.

New highways? Absolutely.

I like in Florida you can just swipe your cc real quick. I'm sure other places have that, just haven't seen it.

You can’t charge a toll to keep people out.

That it!! Build the wall.

Charge a $25 toll to cross the border at all check points. Raise the prices as needed to increase funding for the security forces.

It regularly backs up to the fricking Florida state line on Labor Day/Memorial Day without an accident or breakdown
