Wouldn’t be the first time Mobile Catholics were the first to do something

Alabama already announced that schools are closed for the rest of the year and just announced a stay at home order. I don’t know how this is going to play out for them, but my guess is not well.

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — The Archdiocese of Mobile Catholic Schools announced Catholic Schools will remain closed until Monday, May 4th.

The Archdiocese says they will continue to monitor COVID-19 pandemic and will adjust the date as needed, based on the recommendations from the CDC and state of Alabama.

They did this in response to the sky screamers in the media and on twitter who were waving the UW model around and saying that over 5,500 in Alabama would be dead by the end of the month. It now seems clear that the model was a complete fraud. I hope they stick to their guns and open.

reads OP

reads news story NOT provided by OP

decides OP is complete clickbait troll

downvotes OP

ETA: seriously... read the story provided by The Nino... it reads like the Archdiocese of Mobile is actually pushing back a previously established reopen date and leaves the option open of pushing it back further

if anything... the Archdiocese is actually trending closer to shutting it down

At least their high school seniors will be allowed to graduate the traditional way and say good-bye to their friends before beginning the next phase of their lives.

I feel bad for those kids who won't be able to do that.

So do they suck at schooling as bad as they suck at doing Mardi Gras?

Hopefully the traditional way excludes grandma with COPD and grandpa with diabetes and heart disease
