Mississippi to change state flag

The vote in the Mississippi House was 91 in favor of removal and 23 opposed. The vote in the Senate was 37-14. The measure now goes to Gov. Tate Reeves, a Republican, who has said he will sign it.
I never thought I see the day Mississippi would have a different state flag. I wonder if the new flag will have the magnolia on it.

I’m sure a lot of them will but nothing they can do about it. I’m glad I won’t have to see that flag coming up on I-55 around Terry-Byram area.
