Vague Aricle from Clarion Ledger

WREG Report with blurred video

Apparently a student took the teacher's phone, found an explicit private video and sent it out and it spread. The teacher wasn't doing anything illegal, but had a private video on her phone.

Teacher is partially to blame for not having a password on her phone, but I do not believe she should have lost her job over this. Especially if the police charge the student.

How horrible for the teacher. Really a shame she was punished. I wonder where the video was sent. Seriously, I wonder where someone could maybe find the video...

Obligatory “where were these teachers with unlocked cell phones containing explicit private videos when I was in school” post.

And student should be legally responsible for whatever revenge porn laws there are.

Well she did not do anything illegal, if anything the kid broke the law by doing what he did.

Regardless if she should have been fired or not, that video would stick with her forever if she stayed there.

So she gets fired because someone else has no sense of respect for privacy or personal property. And we all wonder why kids today are so stupid and useless.

How big of a group of assholes at the School Board. She is their fricking employee. The situation is simple. You call her in and say "you won't be teaching at that school anymore for obvious reasons. We are going to give you a job at the School Board offices for a year or so until things quiet down and then we will transition you back to the classroom at a different school."

But NO. They react like idiots and frick over the teacher. And in the end the lawyers get rich and the taxpayers get screwed. This is the problem with government. When they make a decision that costs taxpayers dollars they should all be fired. Just like at a private business.

This may very well be what they did with her

Also, how shitty is that of WREG to show the blurred out video?
"A local teacher had her privacy horribly violated this week...and here is the video of it"

Are we sure she was fired? She'd probably resign out of sheer embarrassment.

Was the student in the video with her, or taking the video?

Pretty sure she wasn't. Shocker that most here can't read.

Not to mention you could probably figure out who it was pretty easily with what was mentioned in the interview coupled with the picture.
