I travel to Clarksdale fairly regularly and can vouch that it is a rough town. Glad to see the mayor considering drastic measures to clean the place up.

This is like the police chief who offered to "test your drugs" for free to ensure potency, or the chief that put out a from that drug dealers could fill out to rat out their competition.

Years back. BRPD rented a retail storefront in a strip mall off of Florida Blvd and mailed “You won a free bigscreen TV!” notices to everyone in town with an active warrant. They had the sweepstakes desk in the front of the store where you showed your ID and letter and they took your picture. Then they took them back to “pick their TV”. They had felons lined up out in front of the store and a paddy wagon in the back. It made national news at the time.

I believe if I ever have some sort of “idea” I think I’d run it thru the ot before I made it public. Definitely more capable/realistic than a politician.
