I may be wrong, but I thought I remembered someone that worked at Angola telling me that rapist and molester's typically are housed in a separate cell block with others like them to keep prison justice from being served. Essentially they are isolated from the general population.

They are.
The street justice mythos around people who hurt children exists, but is largely exaggerated.

The most likely scenario is that this was a domestic abuse/murder scenario and the 2 children were witnesses. He panicked, took, them, and then had no idea just how effective Amber alerts and license plate readers were (we aren't talking about the MIT scholar who chose BR, here). Got to a wooded area of Jackson, dumped the car (with 1 girl in it and 1 dead). Then went looking for another car to steal (him pulling on handles in the other area). Got spotted, ran, and then was caught.

Everyone has the right to due process.
Permitting him to be shot means Brian Banks may have been shot, too.

The best bet forward is to stop saving addicts from themselves.
We need to be comfortable letting people die who cant take care of themselves.

When you have children, it stops being about YOU. Your responsibility is to your kids that you have brought into the world. Mothers should not be having random boyfriends and bringing them in and out of their children's lives. What a tragic situation that could have been avoided.

Those officers didn’t “handle” him enough

Shoutout to this guy on the first page for getting it right

In this case, due process should have been handled within minutes of apprehension. This isn’t a gray area case.

You really want this guy to get off that quick, easy, and painless?

Agree. Single Parents of minors should not bring any boyfriend or girlfriend around. Period.
It’s not the kids fault you suck at relationships

This is probably the most prescient comment made ITT.

Not at all.
We have limited information and I'm giving the most likely scenario based on what we actually know today.
This is a terrible situation. What is not needed is adding speculative drama without any evidence to do so.

No. You are not.

The police officer in the local Fox News video said the 4 year old "was dumped in a location used to traffic children".
Sounds like he killed the mom with the intent to kidnap and sell her kids.
The death penalty is built for people like this.

So posting your opinion of that you think happened? Got it
Just because someone gave you a law degree doesn't mean you're as smart as you pretend to be here. If you were, you would be much more in demand as an attorney and not have as much time to post here.

OTOH, why was he trying doorknobs of different houses on that street up in Jackson? (Did all the houses look alike?)
Trying to find one that is unlocked to hide inside...the whole being on the run from the law thing
