We saw the difference when Herb Tyler was QB at LSU while the white QB from Catholic was playing QB at Southern. Marcus was from a Christian family and tried be nice about the situation with the media, but he was not treated nicely at all in reality.
On a slightly different note it still aggravates me that we wasted Herb’s senior year along with the rest of offense in 1998 because Dinardo had to bring in Tepper and his defense that didn’t fit the defensive personnel we had at the time. Tepper fooled us in the bowl game at the end of the 97 season when he called the defense after Reese left and made it look like he would adapt his defense to the personal. He did not.
