NO, it would be like the porn industry announcing its movies will no longer feature sex or even nudity. At that point it is no longer "porn." The Miss America pageant is a beauty pageant that has announced physical "beauty" is no longer a criteria. So it has basically changed what it has always been.
That's fine. The organizers can certainly do whatever they want to do with it. But it is no longer what used to be. It is a completely new pageant with an old name
