Misfortune at local Racetrac gas station - what would you have done in this scenario?

I was on my way home from a doubles match at Metairie country club, and much to my dismay, I see a low fuel light on. Great, where to get gas on way home to CCL, let’s try the Racetrac in Kenner on Airline (not the greatest place, but whatever)

Some miscreant has the audacity to be smoking a cigarette near the fueling station. I’m like, what in the heck bro...you can’t smoke here. Long story short, he said to take a hike and flicked his cigarette at me while aggressively walking towards me.

I immediately grabbed the gas hose and swung it for his face hoping the fuel nozzle would hit him. Unfortunately, I missed and an off duty police officer fortunately was nearby and noticed the fracas. I told the officer what this malcontent did and he was reprimanded.

Oh, and to make matters worse, they didn’t have any diesel for my Bluetec GLS.
