I'm not very familiar with that area and my wife is going to be doing some work out there soon. Is it a good area or no?

The one with Target? It's fine.

Which corner exactly? Makes a difference

Millerville is fine. Lots of traffic on I-12 though.
The shopping center on Old Hammond/Millerville flooded and is being redeveloped. Target and Lowe’s renovated pretty quickly.
Check the flood maps and look into flood insurance.

I live in Woodland Ridge so a little over a mile away. I'm in that area all the time and never had any problems.

Yeah, its a quiet part of BR, with a lot of older folks living.
No complaints abt that area.

I grew up there and it was a sleepy two lane road. It’s kinda sorta maybe a little sketchy now- a retail stretch with a quick interstate ingress/egress so it has a lot of people coming and going. Just like any other interstate area retail. I wouldn’t be too worried.

Not a great place if you have to commute to LSU at rush hour. First hand experience.

Yes that SPOT is fine but just stay south of Old Hammond Hwy!
Flannery Rd. has gotten pretty sketchy..

Lol. More like the owner converted all the rental spaces into a storage unit.

Yeah the only places in SBR that are inconvenient from here are LSU/downtown

Good area, I've lived there for just over 4 years now and have frequented Target, Lowe's, Best Buy, Chili's and Petco a shitload of times and never had even the barest hint of an issue.

My wife used to live there before moving to N.O. I agree that it is safe and quiet.

His wife is going to do a gig or two in the area. What does he need to check the flood maps and buy flood insurance for?
