Military charities question

Our son joined the army. My wife (no pics) gives to disabled American veterans (DAV) and she did give to the wounded warrior project until she learned how little of her donation actually goes to the charity. She’s now looking for another military charity in addition to DAV. Is the USO a good military charity?

USO is fantastic.
There is also a group called "Army Relief" which assists active duty service members
I was Navy and the similarly charged, Navy Relief group helped me out by covering 100% of the burial costs for our stillborn child. I was an E-4 at the time and couldn't possibly afford the costs on my own.

ETA: Army relief provided no interest loans to retirees and Guardmembers who went unpaid during the gov't shutdown

Wounded War Heroes. Local and all money goes directly to support outdoor activities of local vets.

USO is far and away the best IMO.

I always thought he was a great guy and did a ton for active duty and veteran soldiers. A couple of weeks ago, a poster who flew F-4s and is now a 777 pilot, posted a brief comment about Sinese being a "fraud".
I'm not sure what his comment was specifically based on, but I don't think he was joking.
