I'm sure the PETA Vegan freaks are already lighting up their virtue signal and rallying the smelly troops.

Mike The Tiger - older one - used to be in a small cage out in the open you could directly approach. I recall vividly 12 year old me walking up to his cage and talking shite to him.

He promptly lifted up his tail and sprayed me ALL over. I was dripping in his dominance. It was then I knew I was destined to go to LSU.

This may be racist, but gorillas will posture up at large black guys around their enclosure. Has happened every time we have gone to the zoo.

They typically walk back and forth by the glass when I walk up and then walk away disinterested.

Black guy the same size does it and they start bouncing their chests

Our Mike is truly an OT Baller. If you disagree, then just meet him at sonic and see who wins.

He is also a emotional support animal to many, if you really think about it. Have a bad day on campus? Worried and stressed? Just go see Mike. He will make you smile and feel better.

He is set to be the first thing i see when i sign on to facebook. His daily pics are so funny and gorgeous. They make a nice way to start the day.

He has a staff of hundreds who cater to his every whim, an adoring fan club and a facebook page that has daily pics and funny remarks.

I love how PETA gets shut down in ridicule when they try to claim that MIle's life is cruel.

I think the most important thing to ever tell people is that he's a rescue. He was never a tiger that was taken out of the wild nor was he a tiger that COULD ever live in the wild. Tigers are solitary creatures and had LSU not swooped in and picked each of these Mikes they would've been another number to a zoo. Now this lucky guy gets the best care he could possibly receive anywhere in the world readily available. And if something were to happen and that care is not readily available here it will be found and given to him by LSU. He is also an invaluable resource to the vet school and to the two grad students who get to work with him as well as the faculty. How anyone could be against having Mike the Tiger at LSU simply has an agenda or hasn't considered all of the facts.
