Frick ISP's. We need net neutrality.

Sadly, some have chosen to decide on this based on political leanings. No american should be for dismantling net neutrality

Yall need to calm the frick down on the full throated support for government to control the internet.

I'm against tiers and internet pay for play, but the laws being suggested give a shite ton more control of the internet to fedgov. And that sucks too.

Americans aren't going to do a la carte. It's not in our DNA.

Without net neutrality, your ISP could force you to pay more for access to certain websites.

How are they going to do that if we all go VPN (which, honestly, we should do anyway)?

They will charge you 10x more for VPN access or block it entirely.

Almost all banking and business is VPN and they pay a lot more than residential does. I doubt they could get away with it, liability wise.

Block my VPN, my bank account gets hacked and they're on the hook. I know they want to threaten this, but it will be tough going.

Pharmaceuticals companies get an honorable mention.

The politicians take shitloads of money from those industries, screw the consumer, then dress it up in some political wrappings so that the idiot public that is being screwed laps it up like it’s their patriotic duty.

Bet neutrality’s about one thing and one thing alone. It is about the FCC and government getting a toe hold. They will tell you it’s a good thing and you’ll end up paying for this or that without it but it is a lie.

The free and open internet is what we need. Not companies that can bribe/donate to beaurcrats campaigns to pick winners and losers based on who has the biggest bankroll rather than who provides the best service.

Why do you think google is arguing for net neutrality?

1. Airline Industry- Absolutely tries to frick the customer any chance they get.

2. Cable Companies/Internet Providers- for christs sake, these fricks continue to raise prices and still give shite service, with the, "Dont like it, go to satellite" attitude. Equipment is decades behind and touted as the future. Internet is still in MB stages, we should of been in gig, by 2010, at the worst.

3. Cell Providers- Absolutely shite service, shite prices, and shite customer service. You get a kindly go f yourself when trying to deal with these assholes

4. Drug Companies

We will never get a true a la carte for Cable, because NBC/Disney/Discovery/CBS own nearly all the stations.

You get a la carte and no one wants their shite channels, and they all go belly up, costing them $$$. Instead, they can shove channel packages up the providers and customers arse.
