Make more eye contact and don't take this stuff so seriously. And smile more. Ask people questions about themselves, if you want them to talk to you.
There's no miracle solution for this stuff. But everyone loves confidence. If you can't muster it up right now, at least don't act like you're worrying or feeling insecure about yourself.
Lastly, you can rest assured that nobody else in your office is sweating over this like you are. People are fickle. So, they didn't think you were funny? Who cares?
