Yes.

And didn't Paul Orndorff use the figure 4 too?

Mil Mascaras,

frick yeah.

I lived in Beaumont area and my cousins in Acadiana. They'd visit and insist we watch Houston Wrestling and Mid South when we were in the mother land.

Mil was the man.

I still have a Mr. X Mask in my home somewhere. I am 44 years old. That bitch is snug but it fits.

I put my cousin in the scorpion death lock once. Pulled every ab in his right abdomen.

You know how hard it is to pull a muscle at 11-14 years old?

Wasn't that the Super Destroyer? He tag teamed with the Masked Grappler who would load his boot to finish opponents. Frank Dusick (sp?) was their manager.

At least that's what I remember.

My favorite episode was when they broadcast from the state fair in Shreveport and a guy in a bear suit was entertaining the crowd during most of the show. During the big match at the end, the bear attacked one of the wrestlers. I think Hacksaw Duggan was the one in the suit.

I saw some crazy stuff at the live matches at the Centroplex. There were no barriers between the fans and the wrestlers as they walk to the ring. It was pretty routine for bad guys to get mobbed by angry fans on their way to the ring.

All the white kids in my school were racist as hell, but they loved their Junkyard Dog. And they all thought it was real.

I was the only kid who called it fake, and I was shouted down by many an angry wrasslin fan.

I enjoyed the MidSouth shows. Reiser Bowden was my favorite sports announcer of all time. The wrestlers would rant and rave and he, in an ugly arse plaid suit, would just be deadpan as hell. Great stuff.

Loved midsouth as a kid. I remember thinking those guys were international superstars.

Little did I know they were regional guys.

Were there circuits in other parts of the country? Northwest wrestling, etc?
