Beer can ruin your life too, in fact, it's the most common drink among people with alcohol addiction, but it sounds I like you have a good handle on things.

1gram?
Light weight.
If ya want to trip take 5 grams and enjoy a trip then do that. 8 if ya wanna go on a journey to another dimension!
But for a beginner go with a 1/8 "3.5 grams.

P.S. Out of all the psychedelics ive tried over the years I absolutely hate shrooms. fricks your stomach up and ya feel Blah even if your laughing hysterical or having a bad trip. Ive had more bad trips on mushrooms than anything ive taken.
Ive eaten a bunch of acid, mescaline, peyote buttons, 2CE, 2CB, DMT etc
Ive done red, purple, orange micro dots LSD, paper LSD, and Liquid Lsd from a Dead Head that was awesome AF. My arse was at spring Break listening to prodigy Smack my bitch up!! "Which is about shooting heroin"
We were all in a OJ sinpson ford bronco with the top off. And im in the backseat with a bad chick with a thong on! She was dancing and shaking her arse as I was beating that arse!! A greyhound bus had just got to Panama with a load of college kids that were next to us. They start screaming and yelling at us going crazy. She turns around and says "Thank You" I was tripping so hard I couldn't hear the music per say but I saw the music notes coming out of the speaker!!
Great times for sure.
I have a buddy thats very successful that hippie like and loves his mushies!!

there is if you believe (as you should) that the religious experience can (and does) have chemical origins. Every experience you have has chemical origins, why would spirituality be any different

and please note, this is only a matter of acknowledging the fact that chemical interactions are all that life is. It does not prove, disprove, or otherwise accept or deny or elevate or disparage the religious experience and its importance to human civilization. The fungus is here under the same circumstances as is the human, they are part of the same whole

I’m a Christian and if mushrooms help me in my faith then that would be awesome. I just didn’t want this thread to be a religious discussion rather than info about the substance.

Shrooms are a crappy high.

You have obviously never had any real shrooms, plucked from a cow pasture right after a rain. I have, and it's the most pleasant high I've ever experienced with zero negative effects.

They ruined themselves by becoming dependent on chemicals to alter they way that they feel.

You are headed down the same road. Quit relying on drugs to make you feel better.

It will show you the path, you still have to walk it. The best way to describe it for me is, mushrooms let me see the Matrix. What you choose to do with it is up to you.

OP, you can check out my very first thread on here. i did try my best at the time to make it PG as possible so it wouldn't get deleted. Truth is, I never measured my doses like my wife did, I just broke some apart when microdosing and ate a few when wanting to trip. I didn't call it microdosing when I originally started, I actually kinda laughed a few years ago when hearing it called that b/c I had already been doing it. Schedule 35 gets thrown around here a lot and seems trustworthy, but I've never bought there. Their website is down for maintenance, but I'm sure it will be back running soon.

Personally, my first big trip was just a lot of fun. After that, I started gaining different perspectives on what was creating my many issues at the time. I was drinking a 1/5th of whiskey a night and taking Xanax every day. It helped me on a religious level also. I've discussed all this numerous times on this site. I honestly no longer do it. I got tired of growing it and no longer need it. I don't drink much anymore, maybe a handful of drinks a year on special occasions, and haven't taken Xanax in forever. Honestly, it's hard for me to put into words what it does. You can truly have much more understanding about what's important in life. I realized on a deeper level that what I was stressing about was just not important, and it stuck with me. As far as microdosing, I felt it helped me more the next day. They taste like shite fwiw. You can try Schedule 35 or try to grow them. I was pretty successful at it but my last batch didn't do well and I just said screw it and stopped. I also didn't really take good care of it like I normally would. Wife doesn't need any either anymore. Only med I take is heartburn medicine. I had tried so many different antidepressants prior to shrooms. It may not work for everyone. If you are on an SSRI, it won't do much for you. I'm not sure how long you have to be off before psilocybin will affect you, and I'm damn sure not gonna advise someone to get off SSRIs in order to try shrooms. Good luck, OP and everyone. There are good replies in this thread, better said than what I know how to say honestly.

Yeah you don’t have to keep doing it, and as another poster noted that it can show you the path but you still have to walk it

Never done them but my gf and her bestie like the capsule version from the dispensary when they travel and go walking around.

One of my guy friends really likes acid. Here again, potentially a fun drug, but mindset and setting are super important to the experience.

You've obviously never tried it. A hero dose is the most spiritual experience I've ever had. I think anyone who's ever taken a hero dose will fully agree.
