he five-time NBA MVP made an estimated $110 million last year, excluding the Dominick’s verdict, to lead Forbes’ annual look at the highest-paid retired athletes. Jordan will likely make at least $30 million more than any other athlete in the world, active or retired, in 2016.

The power of Jordan is still growing 13 years after he last laced up his high tops. He now ranks first in Repucom’s CelebrityDBI, which tracks awareness and consumer sentiments across seven attributes for nearly 4,000 celebrities in the U.S. (he ranked No. 4 last year). Translation: Jordan right now is the most marketable person in the U.S. ahead of Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks, Bill Gates and every other celebrity you can name. He posts top 10 scores for aspiration, endorsement and influence. His awareness level is almost unmatched at 98%.

It's crazy how much he's managed to stay out of the public eye too. You just don't hear very much about him and yet his popularity continues full steam ahead. tGOAT.

And if he came up in today's day and age he would be looked at like Tiger Woods post wife except maybe worse.

Greatest basketball player ever for sure but the media/social media would of ripped him apart

Lot of people underestimate the impact that social media would have had on him.

Gambler, punching teammates, taking free throws with his eyes closed.

Players today would be crucified today for that.

Well, to be fair, he'd be dropping 60pts a night in today's NBA so he'd have a lot longer leash than you think.

They would, but not as much if they delivered like MJ. You win the championship year in and year and all that shite kind of rolls off your back.

He and his father also gambled millions on games Mike was playing in. Which apparently his dad wasn't real good at since he got capped to death when he couldn't pay the vig. Then David Stern finds out about it but sweeps it under the rug and merely banishes Jordan to professional baseball for a year and a half. Then he gets welcomed him back to the NBA and not a word was said. The GOAT

I don't think it would be as bad as a lot of people thing. He won. A lot. That cures just about everything.

He might not be seen as a goody goody, but he was never praised for being the best teammates, he was praised for being a ruthless competitor that did everything he could to win.
