It's not. There are so many nice places in Mexico it's not even funny. It's a beautiful country. Even Mexico City, which gets a ton of hate (crime is an issue obviously but not unlike many over populated cities in the US) is an incredible city. I've been all over the country numerous times and will go plenty more in the future. people on here need to get out more.

There are a lot of good, honest, hardworking Mexicans in our country. My only beef is they need to come in the legal way. Besides that, they will outwork the average American any day of the week.

Just watched a crew of Mexicans strip a 1600 square foot home and install a new roof in three hours. It was absolutely amazing. I watched several of them load two packs of shingles (one on each shoulder) and walk straight up a ladder without using their hands. I helped a friend repair a roof many years ago and those shingles are not light, so I was beyond impressed!

When they pulled out, the yard was spotless and not littered with debris. They do some amazing work!

I'm a GC and we mainly do roofs and gutters. You would not get a roof put on in Louisiana if it weren't for Mexicans

When we were starting out we figured we might need to have a white roofing crew just because it's LA and we knew some people might say something (which they do) about having all Mexicans. Actually Central and South American too but most homeowners wouldn't know the difference. We ended up finding one crew of white guys and in 7 years, the two roofs they did were the worst two roofs we ever put on. The second job they did one guys truck broke down in the homeowners front yard and I pull up and another guy has his vehicle pulled up next to him trying to jump him off. This is a decent neighborhood, not somewhere out in the country where you can drive your vehicle in someones front yard. The black ground guy took all day long cleaning up the shingles because he took a smoke break every five minutes. The roofers all roofed with their shirts off and left at about 1:00 each day. Absolute crap workers. I wouldn't hire a crew of white or black roofers if they worked for half the price.

And the quality of life mimics inner city America....what does that tell you about modern American leadership.

I think we need to unpack this one sentence…

How did you randomly meet people from Mexico?

Are you one of those fraud ‘life coaches’ or fitness weirdos on social media?

Legally is the operative word here. I love Mexicans. Great culture, and people. Hard working folks that just want to make a better life for their families for the most part.

Not wanting your sovereign country overrun is not equal to hating an entire race of people. Plus, not everyone crossing the border is our friend. It's a security issue.

Agreed, get all thee folks paying their taxes like everyone else. And I'm not talking sales tax, payroll tax.

Taxing remittances is one thing I wish would get moved forward.

Mexican women know how to pay the rent.

You just hand them the rent money.

I think they’re generally good family oriented folks

I just find it odd that burrito’s are served laying down. Maybe it’s more ironic than odd.

I've followed Itchy Boots on YT for years. Biggest eye opener is how clean much of Mexico is. India is filthy

No, Somalia or Venezuela is a failed state, Mexico is not. It being, mostly, run by narcos is correct in a macro sense, but for many in bigger cities as long as you aren't involved in the drug world the narcos have no impact on your life.

Mexico is a failed state. There are vast areas that encompass entire states within the “country” that the “government” has zero control over. That’s the definition of a failed state. Mexico itself is a narco run country period

Third world country is thrown around extremely loosely. Idiots that love to use it do not know the definition.

They’re throwing stones in a glass house when there’s a ton of shite hole places in the US that are just as bad as places in Mexico.
