Golfer, I tend to agree with this sentiment. But St. George has to go to a vote, and the ISD needs to be set up ASAP. Also, ALL unincorporated areas south and east of BR need to be included.
If this happens, I could see residents petitioning for their areas to be annexed to St. George, if possible by State Statute.

After listening to Tara on 107.3 and last night, she is the only shot of making NBR not a complete shithole. Problem is, the mouth breathers like the Fat Panther and his ilk are too stupid to realize this. They lash out at the Republicans for voting along party lines while also lashing out at Tara for NOT voting along voting lines.
The Fat Panther, Chauna, etc are all just pissed off they tried to play a power play and it blew up in their faces. They were exposed for what they are, lost any chance at further political aspirations outside of the MC and now getting called out for the division they created.

Tara needs to tell them to go frick themselves and change her affiliation to Independent. Why she said last night was just common sense and rational thought, and it does not align at all with the views of today’s Democrats.

I have been reporting Chauna, Fat Panther, Helmet and a few others since last night. I just KNOW it will piss them off if anything is taken down

What these people want is for more folks to give up, quit caring, or leave EBR. It plays right into their hands.
SG would provide folks an option. No it's not Shangrila or Camelot, but with a good school system people who can't afford or don't want private schooling, or those who can't get in or don't want magnet schools have an option other than leaving EBR.
The more that choose to stay and the more transplants that choose EBR over neighboring parishes, the less political power these extremists have.
