What do you think will happen the next time a Dem seat is vacated and we have a Republican governor?

You and I know the answer.

Nothing like this.

So how many signatures did the St George petition gain from last night’s council meeting?

Yep. It is laughable that the BR Business Report helped push us down this path with their support of Broome.

Even if you get new leadership in 2 years. The damage has been done.

You won’t fix it overnight if ever.

There won’t be anyone left that gives a frick

Something done like SG?
SG ISD?

As much as I'd like to see it, SG very likely won't happen. And unfortunately, as we've seen so far, these people are willing to go scorched earth to prevent SG. I don't think the city can rebound from something like that if we continue to have more and more morons motivated by racial revenge placed in positions of power.

Read the Advocate this morning. They aren't reporting all of this.
They kind of gloss over the entire thing.

Does Gravy get paid to be on the "transition team"?

Lord No. The hilarious part behind this. Is Broome and the NBR Council Members are using Gary. They pretend to give a shite about his opinion to carry favor with their own constituents. It nets Gravy nothing as we can tell, but he's too stupid to realize he's being used. One day he'll wake up in his bed at Momma's house, realize he has nothing to show for supporting and helping these NBR Democrats, and realize all his shenanigans for attention were utter failures.

Or maybe not, he'll probably have that moment, then hop on facebook and lie by saying "I did it all for my daughter. My whole world. blah blah" ....meanwhile the entire city of Baton Rouge looks like some 3rd world country.

People are trying. It's going to really get bad if they fail.

Of course not.

I would be completely opposed to this same tactic if the roles were reversed. You don't forcibly place the opposing party to represent a district where you wouldn't win in an election. That's wrong no matter what side of the aisle you're on.

It would have been pointless even if they could have gotten Edwards to put a dem in that seat. There's nothing they can do in 9 months that would change anything.

I know but it's just not good enough.

I also don't think they'll have the political capital in the LA Legislature to get it done, so this whole thing is moot.

The people of SG are going to be punished for this and it's going to get ugly.

No, they are going to pack their bags and bring their tax money to Texas.

Like anyone with intelligence already has.

Perhaps, but it just goes to show you how ignorant those 4 members are and they're very proud of their ignorance. That's the scariest part.

the SG organizers were smart, they'd take that tweet that Chauna sent out about them using this to stop SG and put it on a billboard.

Isn't The Advocate just a tad biased? I personally think they don't want to make Tara Wicker look too good for fear that she may be able to oust Broome in the next election.

He has been hauled out of metro council meetings in cuffs before. He should be banned from ever attending again.

In 2 years. You’ll have a St. George and will likely decrease the flight from the Parish. They’ll also be energized by the move when it comes time to vote for Mayor-President.

The timing is actually ideal.
