Most school libraries use the library of congress labeling.
Dewey decimal system can't keep up with the explosion of books and topics.

Isn't the Dewey decimal system how books are still ordered at the library?

Thanks for all of your responses. I will go back and tell the young guy I am sorry for laughing at him.

If you asked me what the Dewey decimal system was this is how I'd answer. "that's the old and outdated numbering system libraries used to use for books". Other than that I have no real knowledge of it.

Have you ever met someone in their mid 30s that didn't know what that was? Just wondering

I'm 25. We were taught about it in elementary school nearly 20 years ago, but even then it was taught as a novelty. "Eh... Just in case the computer system is ever down while you need to find a book." sort of thing, even back then.

How do I hook up my typewriter to my computin machine?

Frankly I'm more concerned that op doesn't realize that a statement ends with a period and not a question mark.

OP was uninteresting and this isn't true. Next time you want to save your shitty thread just post tits instead of doubling down on the uninteresting bullshite.

One day you'll meet a 21 year old who never heard of a VCR. Or A beeper. Things change and people adapt.
Your grandparents prob think it's crazy that you don't get milk delivered to your doorstep.

Yes. However, actually knowing what the numbers mean is irrelevant when you can just look up the title in the library's computer catalog.
