This number surprised me honestly. Almost 2:1 advantage.

Through June, GM reported Cadillac sold 75,949 vehicles in the United States. By comparison, Mercedes Benz sold 158,848 in the U.S. during that time period

Overall, Cadillac's sales January through August are 12 percent lower compared with the same period in 2014, according to Edmunds data. The brand's share of the luxury auto market has dropped to 7.7 percent from 9.3 percent in that period four years ago.

Because it's a better car?

Benzes are maintenance nightmares. Quality is garbage.

I feel like Mercedes has a lot more car options but maybe I’m just missing a bunch of cadillacs? I’m not sure I’d have expected them to be that close to be honest.

Don't buy a C class?

What are the BMW & Audi #’s versus Mercedes? That would be a better comparison.

You have your maintenance records? I have 3 with no real issues.

It should not. MB knew what they were doing years ago with the cheapo C-series. They got a lot of people hooked on driving a Benz, whether it be a $35k benz, but hooked non-the less. Now those people are upgrading or getting a new C-class or the funky cross over.
Cadillac has done very little to market to Millenals. I like Cadillacs personally. Always wanted one so I could slap a Deadhead sticker on the back of it like the Don Henley song...

Not surprising. What does Cadillac have other than the CTSV and an over priced suburban? MB has a ton of mkdels, including the Vans, and "entry level" models too.

A lot of MB cargo vans on the road now, which skews the numbers.

I agree ... I've owned two of them.

Mercedes has about 3 cars/crossovers under $45k now.

Cadillac fricking sucks so no, it's not very surprising.

Depends on what you buy. I have 2 S class and very minimal problems.

Cadillacs don’t have reliability issues

Cadillac fired their president and are moving their headquarters back to Detroit from NY.
Not that it will help them be Mercedes.
The leading luxury sales leaders are Mercedes, BMW, Audi and Lexus.
