Okay, I just watched "Lone Survivor" for the second time today and I couldn't help but to think how "mentally tough" these guys are. Not only the characters portrayed in the movie but all SEALS in general. I know this should be in the Movie/TV Board but I'd like to see what OT Lounge thought. How mentally tough are you?

I'm not ... the things that have required the most mental toughness out of me are 1) natural child birth as there was no time for an epidural and 2) completing a half marathon when my knee gave out for the last 3 miles ...

Other than that I've not been tested. Don't think I want to be.

Want to see the movie but idk ...

Not nearly as tough as those guys. Those guys had bullet holes all over there bodies and they're still fighting their hearts out.

I'm a tough cookie, but nothing compared to the men & women who serve our country.

It was a good movie.
I loved the end when they showed the IRL men.
Very touching.

I haven't seen the movie, but there are many different situations that can prove a person's mental toughness, people who have survived cancer.. terrible family tragedies etc. I consider myself fairly tough, but when I find out the stories of some people, I am humbled.

I couldn't believe how many damn times those dudes fell down rocks. I was thinking, "Come on man, just go around it this time", but nope

They couldn't go around, they were on their flanks. Only choice is to jump.

As it relates to sports I'm mentally tough. I used to run cross country and most of the time it seemed like people slow down or stop not because they have to but because they're tired and they want to. Running to me is way more mental than it is physical.

You went to the move theatre twice in one day? To see the same movie over again no less?
