I always thought this was for bored women telling everyone who lives around them, what’s best for them.

What’s to be said about the grown men that chime in on these worthless conversations? Are these lifelong ‘guy friends’ trying to get friend zoned by all the neighborhood milfs?

I think you nailed it. I'm so sick of this fricking app. I used to use it to kind of monitor crime, but the amount of idiots who are constantly bitching about something has become unbearable.

A guy on ours recently posted that he'd be willing to grocery shop for any elderly people in the neighborhood. The app mainly sucks, but there is some good on there.

I find that a lot of people misuse it for a social networking site, when in actuality its premise was a way to give/receive information among your neighbors. Some people still use it the right way. I've found it useful to get numbers to local guys who will come and cut your grass in a pinch, or if you need some type of specialty service. The people who use it like they use Facebook, have ruined it.

I will occasionally reply to serious questions. I also like to see the crime in the area.

I recently started doing this. Childish - absolutely. I hit my breaking point and started telling old busy-body women to act like adults and actually take their grievances to the neighbor that offended them instead of forming cyber lynch mobs. It has been a worthwhile enterprise.

Tinder for Jody.

Also seems like an easy way to scout out some targets for a B&E.

The men I see on it are usually doing one of the following:
1. Asking for volunteers to help someone legitimately in need
2. Volunteering their services to people in need
3. Selling their handyman/plumbing/lawn care business
4. Advertising some kind of charity fund raiser like Girl Scout cookies, church plate lunches, or jambalaya dinners for someone with big medical bills

I don’t have any problem with those kinds of posts.

Had a baw ask a question about why his Silverado was running poorly. And I helped him out OT-style.

Told him it was garbage and to buy a Tundra next time.

We had a thread about a bobcat killing cats in our neighborhood that was pure gold.

People were catching it on their Ring doorbells at night. One lady said it was a mountain lion.

People fighting over having outdoor pets to begin with. The cat ladies wanted our HOA to fork up money to hire a trapper like that is the only bobcat around

I signed on to keep up with the small amount of crime in Bucktown..But it says I am in the area around Clearview..So I deleted the account..There is a page on Facebook that is more of my area..It is the same... women and trolls bitching about fireworks and dogs shitting on their lawns..Talking about strangers walking or driving in the neighborhood...
There was one comment..A woman was bitching about her husband stepped in a pile of dog shite and tracked in the house...That one had entertaining comments...
