Even a $1,000+ tux pays for itself within about five or six uses. Get a high quality pair of tux shoes and all the accouterments (suspenders, tux shirt, studs, etc.), and that goes to maybe eight or nine wears. I was a bit surprised by how often I had occasion to use it; I was expecting for it to pay for itself within about five years, but it had paid for itself within 18 to 24 months.

I was in 4 weddings last year, not one had the same colored tux, so I fail to see how owning your own tux will matter when you’re a groomsman

Also never fricking use men’s wearhouse for a tux rentals, both times they’ve been used they fricked up most of The groomsmen’s tuxes

What clown gets married before 35?

This is retarded. Depending on the venue and time of year a well tailored and proper colored suit can absolutely look better than a tux. If you're getting married in nice church then tux is obviously the way to go, but an outdoor wedding in the fall or early spring a suit is fine and can look better.

Nicely fitted tux.

As the groom? A tux (it's free with groomsman rentals but even if not, probably still tux). My groomsman are wearing suits though cause I'm not an a-hole whose gonna make my boys shell out $250+ just for clothes at my wedding


I wish Some of said boys who are also getting married this summer would notice this and reciprocate.....

I wore a classic black tux with suspenders. Anything else, like the prom style tuxes, is kinda trashy.

I might opine that wearing a rented tux in a Marriott ballroom or outside in a 4PM wedding at a place with a sign out front that says "WEDDING VENUE" is a bit more trashy, but people should do what they feel comfortable with
